الطريقة:

1- امزج ألوان الطعام بالماء وضعها في زجاجة الرش.

2- رش الأطباق الورقية الثلاثة بلونك المنزلي واتركها تجف. إذا لم يكن لديك زجاجة رذاذ ، فاستخدم فرشاة صغيرة لتلوين الأطباق.

4- استخدم القلم لرسم ثلاث أميرات يرقصن الباليه.

5- قم بقص رسومات الأميرة ولصق كل واحدة على الاطباق الورقية الثلاثة.

6- استخدم القماش الملون لعمل شكل تنورة ولصق التنانير على أميرات الباليه.

7- زين الفن الجداري بزخارفك المفضلة وعلقها على الحائط. وانتهيت كل شيء!

Make a handmade princess ballerina wall-art décor

MATERIALS

- Three paper plates

- Food colors

- A small brush.

- A  spray bottle.

- Unwanted small cloth in white, pink, or your favorite colors

- Colorful construction paper

- Scissors

- Glue stick or tape

- A pen

DIRECTIONS

1- Mix the food colors with water and put it in the spray bottle.

2- Spray the three paper plates with your homemade color, and let them dry. If you don’t have a spray bottle use a small brush to color the plates.

4- Use the pen to draw three princess dancing ballet.

5- Cut the princess drawings and glue each one on the three paper plates.

6- Use the colorful cloth to create a skirt shape and glue the skirts on the ballet princesses.

7- Decorate the wall art with your favorite decorations and hang them on your wall. And you are all done!

This is the story of Ameena, an Arab/ Muslim girl who wears the hijab (Head Covering) and is just trying to live an everyday life despite how challenging life can get for a Hijabi girl. She signs up to play the lead princess role in the school play, but a few girls pick on her when she does so. However, she does not let this discourage her from trying. She memorizes the princess role and practices hard every day after school. Then, when she auditions for the play, Ameena gets the lead role.

What is the moral of the story?

الطريقة:

1-لوّن أشكال الفانوس بألوانك المفضلة.

2. قطع الفوانيس.

3. علق الفوانيس على الحبل باستخدام ملقط الملابس.

4. علق خط الفوانيس على الحائط أو الصق الفوانيس على زجاج نافذتك.

Crayons or coloring pencils

Scissors

Papers showing drawings of Ramadan lanterns (attached)

DIRECTIONS

1-Color the lantern shapes with your favorite colors.

2. Cut the lanterns.

3. Hang the lanterns on the rope using clothes bins.

4. Hang the line of lanterns on the wall or glue the lanterns on your window’s glass.

7. All done, now you have your Ramadan decoration!

1-يقطع الصحن البلاستيكي إلى الحواف ليبقى شكل القبة. سيكون شكل القبة هو ظهر سلحفاتنا.

2- ارسمي دوائر فوق الطبق باستخدام قلم التحديد الأسود.

3- قم بتلوين الطبق بعلامة خضراء داكنة.

4. الصق الطبق على ورق مقوى أسود.

5- استخدم ورق البناء الأخضر لقص شكل 4 أقدام سلحفاة ورأس سلحفاة.

6. الصق قدمي السلحفاة واتجه حول ظهر السلحفاة.

7- الصق العينين المتذبذبتين على رأس السلحفاة ، وارسم ابتسامة على السن بعلامة حمراء.

8- تزيينها بالزهور المفضلة لديك.

9. الآن ، لقد انتهيت! يمكنك تعليق سلحفاتك الخضراء السعيدة على لوح!

- Small plastic dish

– Black, green, and red markers.

– Construction paper; green and black.

– Glue/ tape

-Two wiggle eyes.

-flowers for decoration.

DIRECTIONS

1-Cut the plastic dish to the edges to keep the dome shape of it. The dome shape will be our turtle's back.

2- Draw circles on top of the dish using the black marker.

3- Color the dish with a dark green marker.

4. Paste the dish on the black construction paper.

5- Use the green construction paper to cut the shape of 4 turtle feet and a turtle head.  

6. Paste the turtle's feet and head around the turtleback.

7- Paste the two wiggle eyes on the turtlehead, and draw a smile on the tooth with a red marker.

8- Decorate with your favorite flowers.

9. Now, you are finished! You can hang your happy, green turtle on a board!

ذات مرة ، عاشت سلحفاة بالقرب من بركة والعديد من الحيوانات. كانت السلحفاة تتكلم كثيراً ، خصوصاً عن نفسها. لم تحب الحيوانات الاختلاط مع السلحفاة لأن السلحفاة كانت تهتم فقط بالحديث عن نفسها. ذات يوم ، جاء إوزاتان إلى البركة.أحبت السلحفاة صديقاتها الجدد! ولكن عندما حان الوقت لمغادرة الإوزتان ، توسلت إليهم السلحفاة ليأخذوها إلى منزلهم. كانت الإوزتان مترددات في اصطحابها لأنها لا تستطيع الطيران. اقترحت السلحفاة أن تعض على عصا خشبية ، وأن تحمل الإوزتان العصا مع السلحفاة من كلا الجانبين. نصح الإوزتان السلحفاة بالتزام الصمت. لكن السلحفاة التي لم تستطع التوقف عن الكلام لم تستطع إلا التحدث بينما كانوا في منتصف الرحلة. أدى عدم قدرة السلحفاة على الامتناع عن الحديث إلى سقوطها وفقدان فرصة زيارة وطن الإوزتان.!

العبرة من هذه القصة انه يمكن تجنب العديد من المشاكل إذا فكرنا قبل أن نتكلم.

Once upon a time, a turtle lived near a pond and many animals. The turtle used to talk too much, especially about herself. The animals didn't like to socialize with the turtle because the turtle only cared to talk about herself. One day, two geese came to the pond. The turtle liked her new friends! But when it was time for the two geese to leave, the turtle begged them to take the turtle with them to their home. The geese were reluctant to take her because she couldn't fly. The turtle suggested that she would bite on a wood stick, and the two geese would carry the stick with the turtle from both sides. The two geese advised the turtle to stay quiet. But the turtle who couldn't stop talking couldn't help but talk while they were in the middle of the journey. The turtle's inability to keep from talking led her to fall and lose the opportunity to visit the two geese's home!

The moral of this story:  Many problems can be avoided if we think before we talk!

DIRECTIONS

Cut a rectangular shape for the Minaret

Cut a semi-circle for the Dome

Paste the rectangle on the side of the colored construction paper.

Past the Dome at the bottom of the page next to the Minaret

Ten color the Minaret and Dome light brown

Draw a crescent Shape on top of the Dome and on top of the Minaret as well.

Now, you finished making a simple shape that reflects the most famous aspects of Arab architecture!

You can stick it on the wall or on the window of your room!

كان في إحدى المزارع حمارٌ صابر على العمل والجهد، يتحمّل تصرّفات صاحبه كلّ النهار، وكان ثمّة كلب وهرّ يراقبانه دوماً ويأسفان لتعبه ولما يعانيه. وحين تقدّما منه ليدفعاه إلى رفس صاحبه وعضّه جراء معاملته القاسية له، رفض الحمار وأخبرهما أنّ صاحبه يعتني به ويطعمه. ذات يوم هطلت الأمطار الغزيرة وبرد الطقس، هرب القط نحو زريبة الحمار ليختبئ، فتفاجأ بأن الفلاح قد أشعل موقداً لتدفئة الحمار، وقدّم له العلف والتبن والماء ليأكل، وغطّاه بغطاء يقيه البرد. تعجّب القطّ كيف أنّ الفلاح يعتني بالحمار أكثر من نفسه. فعاد إلى الكلب وأخبره ما رأى، فقرر الإثنان أن يعملا لدى الفلاح كالحمار..

ما هي الدروس الأخلاقية للقصة?:

1- إنّها سنّة الطبيعة وقانونه، كلّ المخلوقات تساعد بعضها وبحاجة لبعضها البعض.

On one of the farms, there was a donkey that was patient with work and effort, enduring the actions of its owner all day, and there was a dog and a cat always watching it and regretting its fatigue and what it suffered. They approached the donkey to make him kick his owner for his harsh treatment. The donkey refused and told them that his owner was taking care of him and feeding him. One day, the cat ran to the donkey's pen to hide under heavy rain and cold weather. It was surprising that the farmer had lit a stove to warm the donkey and offered him hay and water to eat, and covered him with a blanket to protect him from the cold. The cat marveled at how the farmer cared for the donkey more than himself. So the cat returned to the dog and told him what it saw, so the two decided to work for the farmer like a donkey.

It is the way and law of nature; all creatures help and need each other.

- الفاصوليا بمختلف الأحجام والألوان

- عشب أخضر جاف ؛ حقيقي أو بلاستيكي.

- وعاء بلاستيكي أو زجاجي.

- قلم رصاص / ألوان / أقلام تلوين

- ورق مقوى ملون - يفضل أن يكون لونه أخضر كبير.

- طبق ورقي.

كرات القطن

- غراء أو شريط لاصق

الاتجاهات:

1- ضع الفاصوليا والعشب في الوعاء.

2- قم بلف ورقة البناء الخضراء وضعها عموديًا في زاوية الإناء لتشكيل ساق شجرة الفاصولياء العملاقة.

3- أضف الأوراق / العشب لجعل شجرة الفاصولياء تبدو طبيعية أكثر.

4- أحضر الصحن الورقي وألصق فيه كرات القطن البيضاء لعمل شكل سحابة.

5- على ورقة بناء مختلفة ، ارسم ولون قلعة أو منزل كبير (منزل العملاق) يمكنك وضعه فوق السحابة التي صنعتها للتو.

6- إذا كان لديك دمية صغيرة ضعه في شجرة الفاصولياء!

7- أعد سرد القصة بكلماتك الخاصة.

Sensory Bin and story retelling activity! Make it at home!

 MATERIALS

• Beans of different sizes and colors

• Dry green grass; real or plastic.

• Plastic or glass container.

• pencil/ colors/ crayons

• one colorful construction paper- preferably a large green one.

• paper plate.

• Cotton balls

• Scissors

• Glue stick or tape

 DIRECTIONS

• Place the beans and the grass in the container.

• Roll the green construction paper and place it vertically in the corner of the container to shape a giant beanstalk.

• Add leaves/ grass to make the beanstalk look more natural.

• Bring the paper plate and glue the white cotton balls in it to make a cloud shape.

• On a different construction paper draw and color a castle or a big house ( The giant’s house) that you can place on top of the cloud that you just made.

• If you have a tiny doll place it n the Beanstalk!

ما هي الدروس الأخلاقية للقصة؟

وفي هذه الحكاية دروس كثيرة منها:

1- ما ليس لك لا تمسه إلا بإذن

عندما سرقت جيل القيثارة والعملات الذهبية والدجاجة الذهبية - أشياء لا تنتمي إليها. ثم نزلت إلى أسفل ساق الفاصوليا ، وقطعتها إلى أسفل ، ثم تركت العملاق يسقط في هلاكه.  هل يمكننا أن نقول بصدق ان ما فعلته جيل صحيح؟ وأن العملاق حصل على ما يستحقه؟  ألم يكن العملاق يحمي ممتلكاته فقط؟ هذا يقودنا إلى الدرس الأخلاقي التالي.

2- إذا كنت تعلم أنه خطأ ، فلا داعي للخطأ كي تبرر ما تفعله. رأت جيل طريقة لإنهاء محنة عائلتها ، لكنها لم تكن الأكثر شرفًا. كان بإمكانها رفع رأسها عالياً ، والاعتراف بخطئها ، ومن ثم البحث عن عمل للمساعدة في إعالة والدتها ونفسها بدل السرقة! . (ويت ، 2012

What are the moral lessons of the story?

There are many lessons in this tale, among them are:

1- What's Yours Is Yours, What's Theirs You Do Not Touch without Permission. When all is said and done, Jill stole the harp, the gold coins, and the golden hen — items that did not belong to her. – another construction paper with different color

– scissors

Directions:

1-Color and decorate the large construction paper.

2. Use the pencil to draw long elf ears o the second construction paper.

3. Cut the two long ears

4. Bend the large construction paper around to make a big cone shape, similar to a birthday hat.

5. Glue the long ears on the sides of the cone.

Fables have always shown us the fundamental truths of human nature. In the Fox and the Crane, a Fox invited a Crane to supper and provided nothing for his entertainment but some soup made of pulse, which was poured out into a broad flat stone dish. The soup fell out of the long bill of the Crane at every mouthful, and his vexation at not being able to eat afforded the Fox much amusement. The Crane, in his turn, asked the Fox to sup with him, and set before her a flagon with a long narrow mouth, so that he could easily insert his neck and enjoy its contents at his leisure. The Fox, unable even to taste it, met with a fitting requital, after the fashion of her own hospitality.
